Reverse Chronological Resume Format
A reverse chronological resume lists the candidate's experience in a time sequence with the most recent experience first.  This format works best for people that have no gap in their work history and that are on track careerwise.

Functional Resume Format
A functional resume lists your experience by skill areas.  As opposed to a reverse chronological resume, a functional resume focuses on your relevant skills instead of your career history.  This format can be used by people that have held various types of positions during their career or for those that are returning to the workforce after a prolonged absence.

Hybrid Resume Format
A hybrid resume possesses some characteristics of both the reverse chronological resume and the functional resume.  It lists your qualifications by skill areas, but also includes employers and periods of employment.
